DENVERThe University of Denver wrapped up play Sunday at the ITA Mountain Regional Sunday at Fertitta Tennis Complex on the UNLV campus ... DU went 2-2 in added consolation matches to conclude regional action that began on Wednesday, Oct. 10 ... seniors Emma Isberg and Steffi Rath won their singles matches ... Isberg beat Boise State's Sammie Watson 6-4, 6-4, and Rath beat Wyoming's Alma Espinosa 7-6, 6-1 ... Michelle Garpenlov and Mandy van den Eerenbeemt also competed today for DU ... Garpenlov lost 6-1, 6-2 to UNLV's Annett Ferenczi-Bako, while van den Eerenbeemt lost 6-2, 6-0 to Wyoming's Christa Gecheva.
IDAHOThe Idaho women's tennis team played in the Portland Invitational and came away with some strong results ... junior Almdena Sanz went 3-0 to win her group and improve to 11-1 in singles play on the year ... senior Constance Alexander went 2-1 in singles and teamed up with Sanz to go 1-1 in doubles ... junior Alejandra Lozano went 1-2 in singles over the weekend, and teamed up with freshman Rita Bermudez in doubles, and the pairing lost both of their matches.

In the second round of singles, senior Ginet Pinero led the Aggies with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Alexis Garrett of UNLV at teh ITA Mountain Regional ... Pinero advanced to the third round but fell to Haley Driver of Montana, 6-3, 6-2 ... also in second-round action, sophomore Denise Van Der Ben fell to Simona Synkova of Wyoming, 6-1, 6-3 ... freshman Lisa Roslanova fell to Johanna Vang of Northern Arizona, 6-0, 7-5.
SAN JOSE STATE
The San Jose State University women's tennis team's final day at the ITA Northwest Regional Championship was a success with six victories in the consolation draws ... Spartan singles players Sabastiani Leon Chao, Erica Medlin, Margot Charron, Julianna Bacelar, and Chau Truong all won their round of 16 matches, scoring five wins for San Jose State in the consolation singles draws ... in the consolation doubles, the team of Bacelar/Truong beat Oregon's doubles team of Julia Metzger and Pascale Neubert, 8-6 ... the Spartans will continue play on Friday, November 9 when they travel to Santa Clara to participate in the Santa Clara Classic.

Sarah Lucas led the team with a 5-3 singles record in the fall season ... Dayna Bennett has the best doubles winning record at 2-1 ... Gabriella Weissmann has the most doulbes wins on the season with three ... Lucas won a section of the Cougar Classic's Flight 1 Consolation bracket ... Bennett won the BSU Jack Taylor Classic's White Flight Consolation West bracket.
TEXAS STATE
The Texas State tennis team hosted its annual Play Day on Oct. 27 ... Texas State led the way, going 13-4 overall on the day between both singles and doubles play ... one of the best days belonged to Gabriela Rojas, who won all three of her matches ... she teamed with Jessica Kahts in doubles play to beat their UT-Pan American counterparts, 8-3 ... joining Rojas with three wins on the day was Rachel Baldree who teamed with Katy Collins to beat Prairie View A&M doubles' team 8-3.
UT ARLINGTON
The UT Arlington women's tennis team competed in the Texas Regional in Waco ... transfer student from Tyler Junior College, Brooke Dennis, proved that she has come to UTA to compete for the Mavericks ... she made it to the Semi Finals after defeating Anastasia Burobina 6-1, 6-1 and Solomlya Zink 6-3, 7-5 in the consolation round ... the Mavericks also competed well in doubles as Dennis was joined by teammate Elizabeth Thoms to defeat Burges and Martin 8-3 ... the women will begin team competition Feb. 1 against Oklahoma Central and Tarleton State.

UTSA wrapped up its fall slate by collecting 13 victories, including three of its four doubles contests, last Saturday at the Texas State Play Date ... sophomore Irene Gandara Gonzalez, redshirt freshman Lynsey Maciolek and freshman Jacobea Junger all netted three wins during the event ... each of the three won their lone doubles tilt and two singles matches ... freshman Miranda Poile won both of her singles tilts, while seniors Natalie Hand and Kavya Menon logged one win on the singles courts ... the Roadrunners now will shift their preparations for dual match competition, which begins in February 2013.
UTAH STATE
The Aggie women's tennis team finished the fourth day of action at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Mountain Region Championships strong ... senior Jaci West and sophomore McKenzie Davis defeated Davidson and Pelchant of Montana (8-2) ... they were then eliminated in the quarterfinals by Verberne and Okhremchuk of New Mexico (8-5) ... in doubles consolation play freshmen Amber and Ashley Stuhlman were defeated by Schultz and Heitzner of Colorado (8-3) ... Davis also saw action in an added singles bracket where she lost to Heather Davidson of Montana (6-4, 3-6, 1-0 [10-5]).
