CSU Bakersfield (3-0)
Jeanette Dove, Michaela Paige, Ali Gillespie, NicoletteGoncalves and Jordan Reed each won two events asCSU Bakersfield defeated Fresno Pacific 171-100 ...Dove, Jodi Hanson, Goncalves, and Gillespie comprisedthe Roadrunner 400 medley relay that was won the race in a time of3:59.08 ... the Roadrunners won 10 of the first 12 swimming races inaddition to Reed's diving performances ... the Roadrunners improvedto 3-0 in dual competition with the victory over the Sunbirds ... CSUBis off until the Arena Invitational which is hosted by UC San Diego atLong Beach's Belmond Olympic Pool.

Denver (4-1)
The Pioneer women topped Western Athletic Conferencefoe Idaho 173-125 and also defeated Colorado Schoolof Mines 228-43 ... senior Alex Suppan led the way forthe Pioneer women, finishing first overall in both the200 Butterfly (2:04.27) and the 400 IM (4:27.57) ... junior JaclynBest (Boulder, Colo.) also tallied a pair of individual victories ... besttopped all competitors in the 1,000 Freestyle with a time of 10:38.12and the 500 Freestyle with a time of 5:13.02 ... the Pioneers talliedfour 1-2-3 finishes on the women's side ... the Pioneers will return toaction Nov. 30 at the Iowa Invite.

Idaho (2-3)
Rachel Millet, Jamie Sterbis and Paige Hunt all won twicebut the University of Idaho couldn't keep pace with the AirForce Academy and fell 169-131 ... also on the weekendthe Vandals couldn't keep pace wit WAC rival Denverdropping the match up 173-125 ... Idaho defeated Colorado Mines213-39 ... diver Mairin Jameson qualified for the NCAA Zone Meetwith her 291 points to win the three-meter event ... sophomore RachelMillet notched three individual titles in the 173-125 loss ... Millet wonthe 100 fly (57.00), the 200 free (1:52.92) and the 50 free (23.84) toup her win total for the weekend to five races.  

New Mexico State (2-2)
In the first road trip of the 2012-13 season, the NewMexico State swimming and diving team defeated ColoradoState, 182.5-151.5, in a four-team, two-day meetin Albuquerque, N.M. ... the Aggies fell to No. 16 SanDiego State, 192-130, and in-state rival New Mexico, 195-138 ...sophomore Jessica Legge paced the Aggies in the 200 breaststrokewith a second-place showing ... she added a fourth-place finish in the200 individual medley ... Tricia Kiss followed in the 200 IM in fifth, andshe was fourth in the 200 back ... freshman Nicole Brennecke led theAggies with third-place finishes in the 500 freestyle and 1,000 freestyle... she was also thid in the 200 freestyle behind senior Alex Fenton.

North Dakota (3-4)
The UND women dropped decisions to TCU (208-51)and host Kansas (214-45) as action wrapped-up from atwo-day double dual at Robinson Natitorium ... MadelineSmith had another solid weekend of swims as well shefinished the 100 fly with a time of 59.25 ... Rachael Waldbillig tookthird from the one-meter board with a score of 232.25 ... JenniferAnklan was seventh with a 215.40 showing ... UND will now preparefor the TYR Invite, a three-day event held at Northwestern Universityon Nov. 16-18.

Northern Arizona (3-0)
The NAU swimming & diving team won both relays, bothdiving events, and nine individual races in its 178-119 winover new WAC foe Northern Colorado ... the Lumberjacksare now 3-0 in duals this season and 9-0 all-time in dualsagainst Northern Colorado ... junior Emma Lowther and sophomoreCaitlin Wright each won two individual events to lead the Lumberjackswimmers ... Lowther won the first individual race, the 800 freestyle,in 9:14.88 and later added a win in the 100 butterfly in 1:04.74 ...Wright touched first in the 200 free in 2:09.27 in her first individualrace of the day then won the 400 free in 4:34.69 ... Kristy Ardavaniswon the 3-meter competition with a 308.25 score and then scored290.78 to win the 1-meter. 

Northern Colorado (0-2)
Competing in its first-ever WAC dual, the Northern Coloradoswimming & diving team dropped a 178-119 decisionat Northern Arizona ... junior Gina Riggle continued herhot start to the season, winning both the 100 meter back(1:13.53) and the 200 meter breaststroke (2:40.93) ... junior CourtneyVan Oost also won two events in the 200 back (2:21.39) and the 200IM (2:27.72) ... senior Tatum Boehnke placed third in the 800 freeafter swimming a 9:40.80 ... the divers will head to the Wildcat DivingInvitational, hosted by Arizona State Nov. 16-18 ... the swimmers takea break from competition until Nov. 30 when they are at the Nebraska-Omaha Invitational.

San Jose State (2-1)
The San Jose State women's swimming and diving teamdefeated UC Santa Cruz (0-1) 174-31 on Saturday afternoonin The Aquatics Center ... three Spartans (2-1) wonmultiple races ... Michelle Berry, Elana Faria, and DarcieAnderson won two races each ... San Jose State won each of thenine individual races as well as both relay events ... San Jose Statewill compete again in two weeks when the swimmers travel to LongBeach, Calif., Thursday, November 15 through Saturday, November17 to compete in the Arena Invitational ... the divers head to the WildcatDiving Invitational on Fri., November 15 to Sun., November 18.

Seattle U (0-3)
Kevlyn Richards won both breaststroke events, and fellow captain Karla Ruff added a victory in the 200 individual medley in the Redhawks 202-86 loss to CSU Bakersfield ...  Richards posted a faster time than she did in either of last weekend's meets in the 100 breaststroke, posting a mark of 1:04.59 ...  in the 200 breaststroke, the Redhawks claimed the top four positions, led by Richards with a season-best time of 2:18.61 ... the Seattle University women's swim team will host past Redhawk swimmers in an alumni meet next Saturday, Oct. 27, at 12 p.m. ... the next official competition is Saturday, Nov. 10, against long-time rival Simon Fraser.

Athletes of the Week 

Denver's Alex Suppan and Northern Arizona's Kristy Ardavanis have been named the Western Athletic Conference Swimmer andDiver of the Week, respectively, for Oct. 23-Nov. 4.

Suppan, a senior from Burlington, Vt. (Burlington H.S.), took firstin the 200 butterfly last Saturday with a time of 2:03.07 and the400 IM with a time of 4:22.57. Both times rank as the top times inthe WAC this season. Her 400 IM time comes in just over eightseconds faster than the second best time in the conference. Suppanalso led off the Pioneers' first place 400 medley relay, helpingDenver to a 173-125 win over WAC rival Idaho and a 228-43 winover Colorado Mines.

Ardavanis, a senior from Gilbert, Ariz. (Mesquite H.S.), won both the1-meter and 3-meter events to lead NAU past Northern Colorado.She opened with a winning total of 308.25 on 3-meter to win theboard by more than 25 points. Ardavanis then won the 1-meter bymore than 32 points with a score of 290.78. Ardavanis has qualifiedfor the NCAA Zone diving meet on both boards and has posted thetop NAU scores on both boards in both NAU meets this season.

Other swimmers nominated: CSU Bakersfield freshman MichaelaPaige, Idaho sophomore Rachel Millet, Northern Arizona juniorEmma Lowther, and Northern Colorado junior Courtney Van Oost,New Mexico State sophomore Jessica Legge and San Jose Statejunior Darcie Anderson.

Other divers nominated: CSU Bakersfield senior Jordan Reedand Idaho junior Paige Hunt.
