The Bobcats jumped out to a 14-point halftime lead and went on to defeat Texas A&M Corpus-Christi 69-51. With the win, Texas State improves to 5-3 on the season.
The Bobcats shot 39 percent from the field, 38 percent from three-point range and 29 percent from the free throw line on the game. Texas State out-rebounded the Islanders 46-33.
Diamond Ford led Texas State with 19 points, while Ashley Ezeh posted a double-double of 15 points and 18 rebounds, while Erin Peoples grabbed 10 boards.
San Francisco 92, San Jose State 64
San Jose State gave up a season-high 56 first-half points en route to a 64-92 loss to San Francisco Saturday. With the loss, the Spartans fall to 3-7 on the year.
SJSU shot 33 percent from the field, 18 percent fron downtown and 63 percent from the charity stripe on the game. The Dons won the rebounding battle, 55-32.
Ta'Rea Cunnigan led the Spartans with 16 points, while Emily Schill added 12 points and Jamiyla DeBoise had 10. Riana Byrd grabbed a game-high 12 boards.
