SEATTLE, Wash.
–(SU Media Relations) The Seattle University men’s basketball team bounced back in a big way Wednesday night, as several Redhawks made significant contributions in the 75-48 victory over Northern Illinois at KeyArena at Seattle Center.

Chad Rasmussen (University Place, Wash.) hit four three-pointers as he led the Redhawks with 14 points, while Prince Obasi (Reseda, Calif.) collected 13 points, eight rebounds, six assists, two steals, and three blocked shots. Deshaun Sunderhaus (Conyers, Ga.) finished with 10 points, and D’Vonne Pickett Jr. (Seattle, Wash.) added nine points, five rebounds, and six assists to the winning effort.

“This was a total team effort against a team that was playing really well coming into tonight,” Seattle U head coach Cameron Dollar said. “We did a good job on them defensively, and then we got our offensive legs under us. I am really pleased with the overall energy and commitment to rebound and defend.”

New Mexico 68, New Mexico State 63



LAS CRUCES, N.M.
(NMSU Media Relations)-The New Mexico State men's basketball team's upset bid of in-state rival No. 16/17 New Mexico fell short with a 68-63 loss.

It snapped an 11-game home winning streak for the Aggies (5-6) dating back to last season. Sophomore guard Daniel Mullings paced the Aggies with 13 points and five assists. Senior forward Tyrone Watson contributed 11 points, while junior guard Kevin Aronis tied a career-high mark with 12 points.

Aronis hit a career-best four 3-poitners (4-of-5), and the Aggies made a season-high 10 shots from beyond the 3-point line (10-of-17).

#24 Oklahoma State 69, UT Arlington 44


STILLWATER, Okla. – (UTA Media Relations) UT Arlington fell to 5-3 after Wednesday night's 69-44 loss to No. 24 Oklahoma State at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

The Mavericks, 4-2 on the road, have suffered each of their three losses to Big 12 programs. UT Arlington also dropped nonconference games to Oklahoma and Texas.

The Mavericks have another sizable break before hitting the court again. UT Arlington opens its first season in the Western Athletic Conference against New Mexico State on Dec. 29 at College Park Center.

Markel Brown scored 17 to lead the 9-1 Cowboys, who took control of contest early and cruised to the victory. Oklahoma State holds an 11-1 all-time lead in the series against UTA.
