DENVER - Denver's
Tia Totura and
Dana Gau have been named the Western Athletic Conference Swimmer and Diver of the Week, respectively, for Dec. 17-23.
Totura, a senior from Castle Rock, Colo. (Rock Canyon H.S.), took first place in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:03.12 as Denver defeated Florida Atlantic 153-88 on Wednesday. Totura also took third in the 200 freestyle (1:54.52) and was a member of Denver's third-place 400 medley relay team.
Gau, a sophomore from Waukesha, Wis. (Waukesha West H.S.), set a school record with a score of 274.50 in the 1-meter dive as she took first place in the event on Wednesday. Gau also took second in the 3-meter dive with a score of 252.65.
