Nevada 61, CSU Bakersfield 47
RENO, Nev. (AP) - Olek Czyz scored 16 points to lead Nevada to a 61-47 victory against Cal State Bakersfield on Tuesday night.
Jordan Burris had 11 points and Dario Hunt 10 points and 14 rebounds for the Wolf Pack (22-4), who rallied from six points down in the second half.
Stephon Carter had 12 points and Zach Lamb 11 for the Roadrunners (13-14), who led 39-33 with 12:08 remaining.
Nevada responded with a 13-2 run to take a 46-41 lead with 6:24 left. After Lamb hit a basket to pull Bakersfield within three, the Wolf Pack stretched the lead to 53-45 as Czyz hit two jumpers and a free throw and Malik Story added a dunk.
The Wolf Pack closed the game on an 8-0 run.
Nevada hit 18 of 45 shots (40 percent) from the field, but was only 2 of 12 (16.7 percent) from 3-point range.
Bakersfield hit 15 of 50 shots (30 percent) from the field.

Hawai‘i 82, New Orleans 58
HONOLULU – (UH Media Relations) The University of Hawai'i men's basketball team used a strong start to power past New Orleans, 82-58, Tuesday night at the Stan Sheriff Center. The Rainbow Warriors improved to 15-10 overall with their fourth win in their last five contests.
UH raced out to a 20-point lead just eight minutes into the game and staved off a pair of Privateer (15-12) rallies before picking up a comfortable non-conference win. UH led by nine points at half before building its lead to as many as 26 points in the second half.
Ten Rainbow Warriors got in the scoring column as the UH starters got limited minutes. Vander Joaquim took full advantage of an undersized Privateer squad notching 19 points and nine rebounds in 23 minutes. Joston Thomas poured in 16 points, while Shaquille Stokes provided 11 points off the bench. Jeremiah Ostrowski tallied 10 assists in just 25 minutes of action.

Utah State 70, Montana Tech 58
LOGAN, Utah - (USU Media Relations) Utah State closed out the game with a 12-2 run to pull away from a pesky Montana Tech squad, 70-58, in non-conference men's basketball action on Valentine's Day night at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.
USU improved to 14-13 overall, moving to 12-3 at home this season and have won 95 of its last 100 home games. Tuesday's game was an exhibition contest for Montana Tech. It was also only the third-ever meeting between the Aggies and Orediggers, and first since 2000, with USU improving to 3-0.
Sophomore guard Preston Medlin netted a game-high 22 points and was one rebound shy of his first double-double of the season with a career-high tying nine boards. It was Medlin's 10th game in a row scoring in double-figures and was his eighth 20-point outing of the year.

New Mexico State 100, Northern New Mexico 68
LAS CRUCES, N.M. (NMSU Media Relations)-The New Mexico State men's basketball team started its final four-game home stand with a 100-68 win over Northern New Mexico.
All five Aggie (19-8) starters were in double-figures with junior forward Bandja Sy leading the way with a career-high 19 points.
Senior center Hamidu Rahman added 18 points and eight rebounds. With the first basket of the second half, Rahman became the 30th member of the 1,000-career point club at NM State. He is the third Aggie to join the club this season with redshirt senior forward Wendell McKines and senior guard Hernst Laroche. Rahman also moved into third all-time on NM State's career blocked shots list after blocking a pair of shots. He now has 117 rejections and surpassed Charles Goza.
