Fresno State 76, Idaho 68
The Bulldogs extended their win streak to 10 games and remained unbeaten in the WAC with a 76.68 win over Idaho Thursday. With the win, Fresno State improves to 21-4 overall and 9-0 in WAC play. Idaho drops to 8-18 on the season and 3-7 in the conference.
Fresno State shot 46 percent form the floor, 20 percent from three-point range and 57 percent from the free throw line on the game. Idaho connected on 55 percent from the field, 42 percent from downtown and 67 percent from the charity stripe. The Bulldogs out-rebounded the Vandals 36-31 and forced 27 Idaho turnovers.
Ki-Ki Moore led all players with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Taylor Thompson added 15 points, while Rosie Moult chipped in 13.
Ganeaya Rogers paced Idaho with 15 points, while Alyssa Charlston added 14.
Utah State 84, Nevada 72
Utah State remained in second place in the WAC standings with an 84-72 win at Nevada Thursday. With the win, the Aggies improve to 17-7 on the season and 8-2 in WAC play. The Wolf Pack drops to 5-19 overall and 1-8 in the conference.
Utah State shot 47 percent from the field, 35 percent from beyond the arc and 87 percent from the free throw line on the game. Nevada connected on 48 percent from the floor, 40 percent from downtown and 73 percent from the line. The Aggies won the battle of the boards, 35-32.
Devyn Christensen led all players with 27 points, while Ashlee Brown added a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds.
Kayla Williams led Nevada with 18 points.
Louisiana Tech 73, San Jose State
Louisiana Tech overcame a 13-point second half deficit as the Lady Techsters defeated San Jose State 73-68 Thursday night at the Thomas Assembly Center. With the win, the Lady Techsters improve to 14-11 on the season and 7-3 in WAC play. The Spartans drop to 9-15 overall and 4-5 in the conference.
LA Tech shot 41 percent from the field, 28 percent from downtown and 67 percent from the free throw line on the game. San Jose State connected on 42 percent from the field, 18 percent from downtown and 73 percent from the charity stripe.
Whitney Frazier and Whitney Jones scored 21 points each to lead the Lady Techsters. Shantale Bramble-Donaldson posted a double-double of 11 points and 12 boards.
Sara Plavljanin led all scorers with 22 points, while Ta'Rea Cunnigan had 19 and Brittany Johnson added 17 for the Spartans.
Hawai‘i 58, New Mexico State 51
Hawai‘i held on for a 58-51 win at New Mexico State Thursday. With the win, the Rainbow Wahine improve to 9-15 overall and 4-5 in WAC play. NM State drops to 5-20 on the year and 2-8 in the conference.
Hawai‘i shot 40 percent from the field, 47 percent from downtown and 64 percent from the free throw line on the game. NM State connected on 31 percent from the floor, 18 percent from downtown and 70 percent from the line. The Rainbow Wahine edged the Aggies on the glass, 41-39.
Breanna Arbuckle led all players with 17 points. Kamilah Jackson posted her 13th double-double of the season with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
The Aggies were led by Eric Sanchez with 13 points and Tabytha Wampler with 11.
