DENVER – Fresno State sophomore guard Ki-Ki Moore has been named the Verizon Western Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 14-19. This is the fourth WAC Player of the Week honor of the season and her career for Moore.
The San Francisco, Calif., native averaged 17.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 5.5 steals per game as Fresno State went 2-0 on the week and remained the only unbeaten team in WAC play. She posted game highs of 23 points and 11 rebounds for her sixth double-double of the season in a win over Idaho. She also nabbed five steals and dished out three assists. In a win over Utah State, Moore finished with 12 points, eight rebounds and six steals. On the season, Moore leads the WAC in steals and ranks second in scoring.
Other nominees included: Kamilah Jackson of Hawai‘i averaged 14.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game as the Rainbow Wahine went 2-0 on the week ... Idaho’s Alyssa Charlston averaged 17.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per game as the Vandals went 1-1 on the week ... Tabytha Wampler of New Mexico State averaged 18.0 points on 56 percent shooting and 7.5 rebounds per game as the Aggies went 1-1 on the week ... Utah State’s Devyn Christensen averaged 24.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game as the Aggies went 1-1 on the week.
