San Jose State 70, Nevada 63
Myesha Broaden, who had her third double-double in the last four games, hit a layup with 38 seconds to play to give San Jose State a 64-61 lead which the team turned into a 70-63 victory over Nevada Wednesday night at The Event Center. With the win, the Spartans improve to 10-16 overall and 5-6 in the WAC. The Wolf Pack falls to 5-21 on the season and 1-10 in WAC play.

The Spartans swept the season series from Nevada for the first time since 2005-06. With its 10th win overall and its fifth in WAC play, San Jose State has now won more games and more conference games than in any year since the 2005-06 season.

SJSU shot 44 percent from the field, 38 percent from three-point range and 68 percent from the free throw line on the game. Nevada connected on 39 percent from the floor, 29 percent from downtown and 72 percent from the charity stripe. The Spartans won the rebounding battle, 35-33, and forced 24 Wolf Pack turnovers.

Broaden finished with 13 points, a game-high 13 rebounds, three steals and a career-high four blocked shots. Brittany Johnson had a game-high 23 points, while Ta'Rea Cunnigan added 15.

Nevada was paced by Kate Kevorken, who posted her second double-double of the season with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Chanelle Brennan added 17 points for the Wolf Pack.
