Nevada 78, Fresno State 76 (3OT)


FRESNO, Calif. -(AP) Olek Czyz scored 25 points and Dario Hunt added 20 points and 15 rebounds as Nevada outlasted Fresno State 78-76 in triple overtime Saturday night.

Czyz's putback with 55.3 seconds remaining in the third overtime and Deonte Burton's free throws with 21.4 seconds left helped Nevada (23-5, 11-1 Western Athletic) clinch a share of the conference regular-season title.

Kevin Foster scored a career-high 20 points for Fresno State (13-17, 3-9), and Jonathan Wills added 19 points and 10 rebounds.

The Bulldogs inbounded the ball with 1.5 seconds left but couldn't get off a shot before the final buzzer ended the 55-minute contest.

The game featured 19 ties and 32 lead changes.

Louisiana Tech 84, Hawai‘i 67


RUSTON, La. -(LT Media Relations) On senior day in the Thomas Assembly Center, senior guard Trevor Gaskins scored a game-high 22 points, dished out a career-high eight assists and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Louisiana Tech to an 84-67 win over Hawaii Saturday afternoon.

The Bulldogs improve to 15-14 and 5-7 in the Western Athletic Conference while the Rainbow Warriors are now 15-13 overall and 6-6 in conference play.

Gaskins rebounding total equaled his career-best while his points tied a season-high he set in the second game of the season at UT-Arlington.

Tech fell behind 9-1 four minutes into the contest with the Bulldogs' lone point coming on a free throw from Gaskins.

A 7-0 run in a little over a minute pulled Tech to within one at the 14:44 mark of the first half. Hawaii responded by pushing their advantage to 24-18 on a Zane Johnson three-pointer with just under nine minutes until halftime.

The Bulldogs took the lead in the contest 29-28 with 6:56 on the clock when sophomore guard Cordarius Johnson made a three-pointer on an assist from fellow classmate Kenyon McNeail.

New Mexico State 79, San Jose State 68



LAS CRUCES, N.M.
(NMSU Media Relations)-The New Mexico State men's basketball team defeated San Jose State, 79-68, in the home finale.

The Aggies (22-8, 9-3) had four players in double-figures on senior night. Senior center Hamidu Rahman tied a career-high with 22 points and 10 rebounds for his second double-double of the year. Redshirt senior forward Wendell McKines recorded his 16th double-double of the season and 43rd of his career with 20 points and 15 rebounds.

Senior guard Hernst Laroche added 11 points, while freshman guard Daniel Mullings scored 10 points. NM State finished the 2011-12 home slate with a 14-3 record and 6-1 in WAC play.
