State senior men's tennis player Remi Boutillier was named to the 2012 Capital
One Academic All-America Division I Men’s At-Large Second Team, as selected by
the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
The Capital One Academic All-America® Men’s At-Large program
includes the sports of fencing, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing,
swimming and diving, tennis, water polo and wrestling.
Boutillier, from Briancon, France, recently concluded his
senior season for the Bulldogs. He posted a 22-4 record and was named the WAC
Player of the Year. He helped lead the 'Dogs to WAC titles in both the regular
season and in the WAC Tennis Championship, earning Fresno State a berth in the
NCAA Championships. He also competed in both the singles and doubles
competitions at the NCAA Championship.
He is a business administration major who posted a 3.87 GPA.
