DENVER - The U.S.
Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's week one national
rankings includes one Western Athletic Conference school early into the indoor
season. The UT Arlington men's indoor track and field team jumped from their
previous preseason ranking of 26th, to 24th in the nation.
Currently, four Mavs--Bozidar
Antunovic (shot put), Romain Martin (heptathlon), Jeff
Rodriguez (pole vault) and Clayton Vaughn (60m)--are projected
to score points at the NCAA Indoor Championships in March.
Anutnovic, the reigning WAC
Field Athlete of the Week, ranks in the top five of the nation's shot-putters.
Vaughn, who also earned WAC Track Athlete of the Week, owns the sixth-fastest
time in the 60 meters this year.
