DENVER (0-0, 0-0)
The University of Denver's men's tennis team won five of their final seven matches to finish the Key Biscayne Invitational ... the Pioneers continued playing tough singles winning three of four matches against LSU ... Enej Bonin (Koper, Slovenia) defeated LSU's Chris Simpson 6-2, 6-3 ... Jens Vorkefeld (Ostercappeln, Germany) beat Tam Trinh 6-2, 6-2 ... the Pioneers will return to the court at the ITA National Indoor Kick-Off on Jan. 26 against Pepperdine. 

IDAHO (1-0, 0-0)
The Idaho men's tennis team got its season started on the right foot, sweeping Eastern Washington 7-0 in Cheney on Sunday ... Idaho won at the top two doubles spots to win the doubles point ... its No. 46 nationally ranked pair of Maris Cirstea and Abid Akbar won 8-6 over EWU at the No. 1 spot ... Dmitry Perevoshchikov won 6-3, 4-6, 6-0 at No. 2 over Martinez, and Cirstea won 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 at No. 3 ... Ivan Krijanto won 6-3, 6-4 at No. 6 for Idaho ... The Vandals return to action with a trip to Eugene, Ore., to face Nevada on Feb. 2 and DePaul on Feb. 3. 

NEW MEXICO STATE (1-0, 0-0)
The NM State men's tennis opened the 2013 spring season with a 5-2 win over Texas A&M Corpus-Christi ... The Aggies took 2 of 3 in the doubles, as the team of Ramirez and Westgate defeated Nagy and Barta, 8-5 ... Degardin and Blank handled Jordao and Westmoreland, 8-2 ... In singles action, the Aggies won four matches ... The Aggies will be back on the court, Jan. 25 at Scottsdale Junior College. 

SEATTLE U (0-2, 0-0)
The Seattle University men's tennis team lost its first road match of the season Saturday, falling 7-0 to Oregon ... the Redhawks put up a fight in multiple singles contests with the closest coming at No. 2 singles ... Kevin Lynch hung tough with the Ducks' Daan Maasland throughout the match, winning three games in both sets, but losing in the end 6-3, 6-3 ... at No. 6 singles, Ian Clare played a tight first set with Brent Chin before falling 6-4, 6-1 ... the Redhawks will next head to Colorado Springs, Colo., where they take will take on Montana State, Northern Colorado, and Air Force. 

UT ARLINGTON (0-0, 0-0)
Freshman Sebastian Erimicioiu, completed in the second round consolation draws of the Ausitn Invitational, where he defeated players from Lamar, UTPA and Baylor giving him his second win of the fall season ... earlier in the tournament, Erimicioiu defeated TCU's Blake Wiggins ...  this marks the second weekend in a row the freshman has defeated the cross-town rival ... senior Soren Goritzka defeated Baylor's Mate Zsiga in the single draws and Yauheni Yakauleu also took down a Baylor Bear, defeating Robert Verzeal 7-5, 6-3 ... the Mavs are set to begin the spring season on Jan. 25, at TCU.

UTSA (0-0, 0-0)
UTSA closed out competition at the ITA Regional Championships on Sunday at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center ... the Roadrunners collected three victories, including two in singles competition ... senior Martin Ayala and freshman Diogo Alves Casa continued their strong fall by posting an 8-3 victory against Lamar's Carl-Philip Lindqvist and Mikko Rajamaki in the doubles round of 32 ... the duo lost its following match and were eliminated from the tournament ... Casa tallied a pair of wins in singles play, including a 6-4, 6-4 victory against Texas' Alex Hillard in the consolation quarterfinals ... UTSA concluded their fall season and will resume play on the tennis courts on Jan. 26, at TCU.

UTAH STATE (0-2, 0-0)
Despite winning three singles matches, Utah State's men's tennis team lost at Idaho State, 4-3, Thursday to fall to 0-2 on the season ... In singles play, senior Sven Poslusny defeated Idaho State's Krzysztof Stempien at the No. 1 spot in straight sets (7-5, 6-3) ... Fredrick Peterson also posted a singles win for USU, defeating Charles Norman at the No. 3 spot also in straight sets (7-6 (7-3) 6-3) ... Curran Wearmouth won in straight sets (6-3, 7-5) at the No. 6 spot against the Bengals' Austin Miller ... the Aggies next travel to Las Vegas, Nev., to take on UNLV on Friday, Jan. 25.
