DENVER - Utah State's Britton Page and UT Arlington's Brandon Waller were named the Western Athletic Conference Men's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, for the week of Jan. 14-20.

Page, a sophomore from Centerville, Utah (Viewmont H.S.), won his heat by more than six seconds in the men's 800m and placed second-overall with a time of 1:51.69, which was converted to 1:51.07 because of altitude this past weekend at the Cherry & Silver Invitational hosted by the University of New Mexico. With th time, Page ranks first in the WAC in the 800m this season as well as ranking seventh in the event in school history and ninth in the nation.

Waller, a junior from Arlington, Texas (Midwestern State), won the triple jump and finished third in the long jump at the J.D. Martin Invitational. Waller had posted season bests in both events with a mark of 23-3.25 (7.09m) in the long jump and a mark of 47-0.25 (14.33m) in the triple jump. 

Other track nominees included: Idaho freshman Drew Thompson and UT Arlington junior Clayton Vaughn.

Other field nominees included: Idaho junior Kyle Rothwell, UTSA senior Keith Benford and Utah State junior Bryce Hall.
