Seattle U 70, Texas State 56
Seattle U rebounded from its first WAC loss of the season with a 70-58 win at Texas State Saturday. With the win, the Redhawks move to 11-7 overall and 8-1 in the WAC. The Bobcats drop to 7-12 on the season and 1-8 in WAC play.

Seattle U shot 50 percent from the field, 30 percent from three-point range and 93 percent from the free throw line on the game. Texas State connected on 42 percent from the floor, 29 percent from beyond the arc and 75 percent from the charity stripe. The Redhawks out-rebounded the Bobcats 36-24.

Sylvia Shephard had a career-high 24 points to go along with eight rebounds and four assists. Kacie Sowell added 17 points, while Brenda Adhiambo posted a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Diamond Ford led Texas State with 23 points, while Jasmine Baugus added 14.

Utah State 76, Louisiana Tech 75 (OT)
With five seconds left in overtime, Jenna Johnson knocked in the game-winning shot to lead Utah State to a 76-75 win over Louisiana Tech at the Thomas Assembly Center Saturday. With the victory, the Aggies improve to 10-10 overall and 7-2 in the WAC. The Lady Techsters fall to 9-10 on the season and 5-4 in WAC play.

Utah State shot 37 percent from the field, 22 percent from three-point range and 75 percent from the free throw line. LA Tech connected on 43 percent from the floor, 22 percent from downtown and 83 percent from the charity stripe. The Lady Techsters won the rebounding battle, 45-41, but committed 24 turnovers in the loss.

Franny Vaaulu led USU with 20 points, eight rebounds and a career-high six steals. Johnson added 15 points.

Brittany Lewis led LA Tech with 21 points and 10 rebounds.

Idaho 64, UTSA 45
Idaho picked up its third straight victory, a 64-45 win at UTSA Saturday. With the win, the Vandals move to 9-11 on the season and 6-3 in the WAC. The Roadrunners fall to 11-9 overall and 5-4 in WAC play.

Idaho shot 42 percent from the field, 50 percent from long range and 63 percent from the free throw line. UTSA connected on just 27 percent from the field, 26 percent from three-point range and 62 percent from the charity stripe. The Vandals out-rebounded the Roadrunners 49-27 and had a season-high 13 blocks.

Four Idaho players scored in double figures, including 13 apiece from Christina Salvatore, Connie Ballestero and Jessica Graham. Alyssa Charlston had 11 points, six rebounds and five blocks, while Ali Forde had 12 rebounds.

Kamra King and Ashley Spaletta had seven points each to lead UTSA.

San Jose State 78, UT Arlington 70
San Jose State picked up its first road win of the season Saturday, defeating UT Arlington 78-70 at the College Park Center. With the victory, the Spartans improve to 8-12 overall and 5-4 in the WAC. The Mavericks drop to 3-16 overall and 1-8 in the WAC.

San Jose State shot 38 percent from the field, 39 percent from downtown and 68 percent from the free throw line on the game. UTA connected on 37 percent from the floor, 23 percent from beyond the arc and 68 percent at the line. The Mavericks won the rebounding battle, 53-44, but committed 30 turnovers in the loss.

Ta'Rea Cunnigan matched her career high with 30 points to go along with seven rebounds, five steals and four assists. Riana Byrd added 10 points and a game-high 15 rebounds.

Aron Garcia paced UTA with 10 points and 11 boards. Desherra Nwanguma added 14 points and Laila Suleiman had 10.

Denver 67, New Mexico State 58
Denver defeated New Mexico State 67-58 Saturday evening at Magness Arena. With the win, the Pioneers improve to 9-11 on the season and 4-5 in the WAC. The Aggies fall to 9-10 overall and 3-6 in WAC play.

Denver shot 36 percent from the field, 54 percent from three-point range and 82 percent from the free throw line on the game. NM State connected on 35 percent from the floor, 21 percent from downtown and 69 percent from the free throw line. Denver edged the Aggies on the boards, 44-43.

Morgan Van Riper-Rose led the Pioneers with 22 points, while Jordan Johnston added 11. Emiko Smith tied her season-high of 10 assists.

Stefanie Gilbreath led NM State with 18 points, while Kelsie Rozendaal added a double-double of 13 points and 11 boards.
