The Roadrunners picked up a four-set win over San Jose State (19-25, 25-22, 25-14, 25-21) in non-conference action at the Icardo Center. With the win, Bakersfield improves to 11-9 on the season.
The Roadrunners out-hit the Spartans .253 to .171, but were out-blocked 10-7. Bakersfield also had more kills (60-46), assists (54-43), service aces (5-3) and digs (62-52) in the victory.
Debora Araujo led the Roadrunners with 19 kills and nine digs. Kelsee Sawyer added 15 kills, while Shayna Guitare added 10. Mariah Alvidrez had a match-high 20 digs, while Danika Youngblood added 15.
