The Antelopes were swept by UTEP (23-25, 17-25, 8-25) in non-conference action Wednesday night at Memorial Gym. With the loss, Grand Canyon drops to 8-12 on the season. UTEP improves to 12-7 on the year.
The Miners out-hit the Antelopes .310 to .111. UTEP also had more kills (47-27), assists (44-26), service aces (2-0), digs (57-45) and blocks (5-3).
Hayleigh Friemoth led Grand Canyon with 10 kills and eight digs, while Jessica Posse had 14 assists and Mackenzie Phelps tallied 20 digs.
