KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Patrick Toh scored his first goal as a member of the Huskies, recorded a career-high three points, and helped lead HBU to its fifth-straight win, as the Huskies rallied from a 1-0 halftime deficit to defeat UMKC, 2-1, Saturday evening from Durwood Soccer Stadium.

The five straight wins tie the longest streak since the program's resurrection back in 2006. The feat has been accomplished two other times, with the most recent coming in the 2010 campaign.

Seattle University men’s soccer earned their first ever Western Athletic Conference win with a 4-0 shutout at San Jose State (0-7-2, 0-1-0 WAC) to open their conference schedule.

“It was a terrific win and it was great to get four goals,” said head coach Pete Fewing. “The goals were very well executed with good build up. It was a great ball from Ian Hines-Ike to Miguel [Gonzalez], who scored two goals. Our second goal, which Brady [Ballew] scored was a terrific goal with an assist from Justice Duerksen. It was a good win and great to get off to a good start in the WAC. I’m happy for the guys and it’s great to get a shutout.”

Miguel Gonzalez (Yelm, Wash.) put the Redhawks ahead, scoring what would be the game-winning winning goal in the 23rd minute of the match on a long through-ball, beating SJSU keeper Emmanuel Espinosa high to the far post. Ian Hines-Ike (Littleton, Colo.) was credited with the assist.
