New Mexico State 86, UTEP 73

LAS CRUCES, N.M. -(AP) Daniel Mullings scored 26 points to lead New Mexico State past Interstate 10 rival UTEP 86-73 on Friday night.

Mullings was 9-of-14 shooting and made eight of his 13 free throws for New Mexico State (3-1). Sim Bhullar had 11 points for the Aggies and Tshilidzi Nephawe added nine and grabbed 12 boards.
UTEP (1-1) was paced by Vince Hunter with 16 points, eight coming from the free throw line. Julian Washburn added 15 points for the Miners and McKenzie Moore had 12. UTEP was out-rebounded 37-23 and shot 13 less free throws -- 47-34.

Texas-Pan American 81, Tennessee Tech 78

CORPUS CHRISTI –(UTPA Media Relations) Junior Shaquille Boga drained a half court shot as time expired to send the University of Texas-Pan American Broncs men's basketball team to an 81-78 victory over the Tennessee Tech University Golden Eagles on Friday at the Holiday Inn Downtown Marina Islanders Basketball Tournament, hosted by Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, at the American Bank Center.

After the Golden Eagles (1-2) tied the game for the first time since the first half on a Josiah Moore layup with 48.1 seconds left, graduate student Javorn Farrell missed a layup, but freshman Alex Majewski came up with a steal with 4.5 seconds left on the clock. Farrell inbounded to Boga from the backcourt, and Boga went to his left. Just after crossing the half court line, Boga pushed a shot in the air and banked it in to end the game.

Bradley 77, Chicago State 64

PEORIA, Ill. -(CSU Media Relations) Chicago State men's basketball dropped a non-conference contest at Bradley 77-64 on Friday (Nov. 15) evening at Carver Arena. The Cougars cut what was once a 25-point deficit to seven points in the second half.

Bradley opened the game on an 11-0 run. Their lead was at nine points at 21-12 with 12:03 remaining in the first when Bradley opened their lead further thanks to a 13-4 run over the next five minutes. The Cougars pushed Bradley to early fould trouble, as four Braves finished the half with multiple fouls. But the Cougars could only make 7-of-10 free throw attempts in the opening half. The difference came from the floor. The Braves shot 18-of-30 (60 percent) in the first including 4-of-6 from beyond the arc. Chicago State shot 9-of-31 (29 percent) and made just one of 12 attempts beyond the arc in the opening frame.
