Grand Canyon 3, Incarnate Word 1
The Antelopes wrapped up their initial NCAA Division I season with a 3-1 victory (25-16, 20-25, 25-22, 25-15) over Incarnate Word on Senior Night at Antelope Gymnasium Saturday. With the win, Grand Canyon closes the season at 12-19.
The Antelopes hit .223 on the match, compared to the .155 of Incarnate Word. Grand Canyon also had more kills (59-51), assists (56-48), service aces (5-1), digs (89-74) and blocks (12-5).
Shannon Dugan posted her seventh double-double of the season with a match-best 19 kills to go with 12 digs and four blocks. Lanie Muys added 12 kills, while Kristen Johannsen finished with 10. Jessica Posse had a double-double of 29 assists and 14 digs, while Mackenzie Phelps had a match-high 25 digs.
