DENVER — Idaho’s Rachel Millet and Paige Hunt have been named the Western Athletic Conference Women’s Swimmer and Diver of the Week, respectively, for November 18-24.
 
Millet, a junior from Spokane, Wash. (Ferris HS), competed at the Houston Invitational over the weekend and set the top times in five events in the WAC this year.  Millet won the 50-yard freestyle (23.13) and 200 free (1:48.11), placed second in the 200 individual medley (2:00.36) and was third in both the 100 backstroke and 100 free (50.30).  She led off the 400 medley relay and posted a WAC-best time for her leg of the 100 backstroke (54.92).
 
Hunt, a senior from Mesa, Ariz. (Mesa CC), won the 3-meter diving event at the Houston Invitational with a score of 312.90 and placing third in the prelims.  She was fourth on the 1-meter (263.80) and second on the platform with a score of 202.80.
 
Other swimmers nominated: Bakersfield junior Delise Batiza; Grand Canyon freshman Jovanna Koens; North Dakota senior Camille Merwin; Northern Arizona senior Stirling Smith; and Northern Colorado senior Gina Riggle.

Other divers nominated: Northern Arizona sophomore Chelsea Jackson; and Northern Colorado sophomore Kelsey Smith.
