The Broncs snapped a six-match losing skid with a four-set win over Texas Southern (25-17, 25-21, 22-25, 25-18) Wednesday night at the UTPA Fieldhouse. With the win, Texas-Pan American improves to 12-17 on the season.
The Broncs out-hit the Tigers .252 to .126. UTPA also had more kills (55-46), assists (51-44) and service aces (5-3). Texas Southern edged the Broncs in digs (62-61) and blocks (7.5-6).
Haley Durham led all players with a career-high 16 kills on .444 hitting and four blocks, while Alisha Watson added 13 and kills Kasey Sanchez had 10 kills. Nycole Masaki finished with 47 assists and seven digs. Shanice Faison had a match-high 17 digs.
