New Mexico State's Scott Named All-Region 12/10/2013 12:00:00 AM New Mexico State's Scott Named All-Region LEXINGTON, Ky. – New Mexico State's Desiree Scott has been named to the 2013 All-Midwest Region team, announced today by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA). Scott is an honorable mention selection.The WAC Player of the Year and WAC Tournament MVP, Scott averaged 2.59 kills on .369 hitting to go along with 1.32 blocks per set. She led the league in blocking and ranked third in hitting percentage.Those named to the all-region teams are now eligible for All-America honors, which will be announced next week during the AVCA Convention.The complete all-region teams can be found here.
