Bakersfield 85, San Francisco 70
The Roadrunners snapped a two-game losing skid and picked up their first road win of the season with an 85-70 victory over San Francisco at Wednesday. With the win, Bakersfield improves to 3-5 on the season. The Dons fall to 3-5 with the loss.
The Roadrunners shot 47 percent from the field, 50 percent from three-point range and 84 percent from the free throw line on the game. USF connected on 44 percent from the floor, 10 percent from beyond the arc and 87 percent from the line. The Roadrunners edged the Dons on the boards, 36-35.
Tyonna Outfield led Bakersfield with 18 points and eight rebounds, while Brooklynn Hinkens had 15, Melissa Sweat added 14 and Dajy Vines finished with 12.
Idaho 84, Lewis-Clark State College 53
The Vandals used a strong first half to breeze past Lewis-Clark State College 84-53 at Memorial Gym Wednesday. With the win, Idaho improves to 7-4 on the season.
The Vandals shot 43 percent from the field, 40 percent from three-point range and 67 percent from the free throw line on the game. LCSC connected on 31 percent from the floor, 16 percent from downtown and 83 percent from the charity stripe. Idaho dominated the boards, 61-31.
Stacey Barr led all players with 19 points, while Ali Forde posted a double-double of 14 points and 14 rebounds to go along with four blocks. Maren Austgulen added 13 points, while Brooke Reilly finished with 10.
Utah 81, Utah Valley 70
After being tied at halftime, the Wolverines fell 81-70 to Utah at the Huntsman Center Wednesday. With the loss, Utah Valley drops to 1-9 on the season. The Utes improve to 4-4 on the season with the victory.
The Wolverines shot 46 percent from the field, 50 percent from three-point range and 92 percent from the free throw line on the game. Utah connected on 41 percent from the floor, 40 percent from beyond the arc and 90 percent from the line. The Utes out-rebounded UVU 35-30.
Katie Kuklok led all players with a career-high 34 points, five rebounds and five assists. Sam Loggins added 11 points, while Rhaiah Spooner-Knight finished with 10 points.
