SAN ANTONIO, Texas- (CSUB Media Relations) Behind three career-nights for the Roadrunners led by Issiah Grayson’s (R-Sr., Atlanta, Ga., Southern Idaho CC) 31 points Bakersfield built a commanding second half lead as they snapped their five-game losing streak with a 90-64 win at UT San Antonio (3-7) Wednesday night.
The victory was the first true road win for CSUB who improved to 6-6 on the season as Grayson paced a hot-shooting Bakersfield attack that saw four players score in double figures while shooting 58% from the field (29-50) and 63 %from three-point range (12-19).

Kansas City 69, Miami (Ohio) 55
Kansas City, Mo. –(UMKC Media Relations) Kansas City overcame an early 10-point deficit and turned that into a 26-point second half lead on Wednesday night in a 69-55 thumping of the Miami Redhawks at Municipal Auditorium.
The Redhawks (2-6) jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the game’s first five minutes as Kansas City (3-7) couldn’t buy a bucket, but the tide quickly changed. UMKC got a three from junior Frank Williams with 14:42 on the clock, and the team defense amped up from there, holding MU without a field goal until the 7:28 mark.

Tulsa 66, Grand Canyon 65
Tulsa, Okla.-(GCU Media Relations) For the second consecutive game the Grand Canyon men's basketball team lost in heartbreaking fashion, tonight falling 66-65 to Tulsa in front of 4,191 fans at the Reynolds Center in Tulsa, Okla.
The loss drops the Antelopes to 5-5 overall, while Tulsa improves to 4-7.
Demetrius Walker scored all of his 20 points in the second half and keyed a GCU run that gave them their largest lead of the game at 51-42 with 9:52 remaining.
The Antelopes held a 58-56 lead with 3:27 left, heading into the final media timeout and setting up a frenetic finish.

SMU 82, Texas-Pan American 56
DALLAS –(UTPA Media Relations) Graduate student Javorn Farrell tied a season-high with 23 points to lead all scorers as the University of Texas-Pan American Broncs men's basketball team fell to the Southern Methodist University Mustangs 82-56 Wednesday night at the Curtis Culwell Center.
Farrell, who also grabbed nine rebounds, was one of two Broncs (4-9) to finish in double figures as Shaquille Boga scored 12 points and dished out four assists. Freshman Alex Majewski added eight points.
