DENVER — Grand Canyon’s Iegor Lytvenok and Bakersfield’s Tyler Greenwald have been named the Western Athletic Conference Men’s Swimmer and Diver of the Week, respectively, for December 12-18.
 
Lytvenok, a sophomore from Kryviy Rig, Ukraine (MP Dragomanov National Pedagogic University), set two individual pool records in a dual meet against the University of the Incarnate Word at the Palo Alto College Aquatic Center in San Antonio, Texas.  Lytvenok won the 200 individual medley with a time of 1:45.85, the best time in the WAC this season.  He also won the 200 back with a WAC-best time of 1:44.16, and his time in the 400 IM of 3:48.40, is currently the second best in the WAC.  Lytvenok was part of the winning 400 free relay which set a new pool record of 2:56.12, the second fastest in the WAC this year.

Greenwald, a freshman from Henderson, Nev. (Coronado HS), swept both springboard diving events in a dual meet against Cal Baptist.  Greenwald won the one-meter with a score of 256.80 and the three-meter with a season-best score of 264.37.
