USD connected on 52 percent from the floor, 44 percent from beyond the arc and 61 percent from the line on the game. The Toreros edged Seattle U on the boards, 37-36, and forced 28 Redhawk turnovers.
Ashley Ward led Seattle U with 16 points, while Kacie Sowell added 13.
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 68, Texas-Pan American 54
The Broncs fell 68-54 to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at the American Bank Center Sunday. With the loss, Texas-Pan American falls to 5-3 on the season. The Islanders improve to 5-3 on the year with the win.
The Broncs shot 29 percent from the field, 31 percent from three-point range and 50 percent from the free throw line on the game. A&M-Corpus Christi connected on 40 percent from the floor, 27 percent from downtown and 88 percent from the charity stripe on the game. The Islanders won the rebounding battle, 47-36.
Jasmine Thompson and Tonisha Walker paced UTPA with 10 points each. Shawnte' Goff added nine points.
