Utah State 92, Denver 80 (2OT)
A three-pointer by Devyn Christensen with two seconds left in double overtime helped Utah State to its eighth-straight win, a 92-89 victory over Denver Thursday. With the win, the Aggies improve to 14-10 on the season and 11-2 in the WAC. The Pioneers drop to 11-14 overall and 6-8 in WAC play.

The eight-straight wins ties the 1975-76 team for the longest in school history. The 11 conference wins also ties the 2011-12 team for most conference wins.

Utah State shot 44 percent from the field, 33 percent from three-point range and 77 percent from the free throw line. DU connected on 42 percent from the floor, 36 percent from downtown and 73 percent from the charity stripe. The Pioneers won the battle of the boards, 49-42.

For the first time this season, three different players scored at least 20 points for Utah State, led by a career-high 28 points from Jenna Johnson. Jennifer Schlott had 27 despite fouling out with 2:25 left in the first overtime. Christensen added 21 points for the Aggies.

Kailey Edwards scored a career-high 31 points to paced DU, while Morgan Van Riper-Rose added 25 points. Emiko Smith dished out 12 assists.

Seattle U 87, Louisiana Tech 74
Seattle U remained in second place in the WAC standings with an 87-74 win at Louisiana Tech Thursday. With the victory, the Redhawks move to 14-9 overall and 11-3 in the WAC. The Lady Techsters fall to 11-13 on the year and 7-6 in WAC play.

Seattle U shot 52 percent from the field, 33 percent from three-point range and 86 percent from the free throw line. LA Tech connected on 39 percent from the floor, 21 percent from downtown and 70 percent from the charity stripe. The Lady Techsters edged the Redhawks on the boards, 36-35.

Kacie Sowell had a career-high 26 points, while Ashley Ward and Sylvia Shephard added 16 apiece.

Whitney Frazier led the Lady Techsters with 20 points.

New Mexico State 90, San Jose State 70
New Mexico State snapped a nine-game losing skid with a 90-70 win over Idaho Thursday. With the win, the Aggies improve to 10-14 on the season and 4-10 in the WAC. The Spartans drop to 9-15 overall and 6-7 in WAC play.

NM State shot 47 percent from the field, 44 percent from three-point range and 78 percent from the free throw line on the game. SJSU connected on 39 percent from the floor, 14 percent from beyond the arc and 70 percent from the charity stripe. The Spartans won the rebounding battle, 45-37, but committed 21 turnovers in the loss.

Six Aggies scored in double figures, led by Danesia Williamson with 19 points, 10 assists and six rebounds. Sasha Weber added 16 points, while Stefanie Gilbreath had 13. Kelsie Rozendaal posted a double-double of 11 points and 10 boards.

Emily Schill led San Jose State with 17 points and 14 rebounds, while Riana Byrd also posted a double-double of 16 points and 16 boards.

UT Arlington 60, Idaho 58
Desherra Nwanguma had a career-high 27 points and UT Arlington picked up its first home victory of the season, defeating Idaho 60-58 Thursday. With the win the Mavericks improve to 5-18 overall and 3-10 in the WAC. The Vandals drop to 12-13 on the season and 9-5 in WAC play.

UTA shot 43 percent from the field, 38 percent from three-point range and 54 percent from the free throw line. Idaho connected on 32 percent from the floor, 30 percent from beyond the arc and 55 percent from the charity stripe. The Mavericks won the rebounding battle, 43-41.

In addition to Nwanguma's career high, Laila Suleiman added 14 points and Aron Garcia grabbed 10 boards for the Mavs.

Alyssa Charlston scored her 1,000th career point and finished with a team-high 17 points and 10 rebounds. Krissy Karr added 13 points and Christina Salvatore added 11.
