UT Arlington 82, New Orleans 57
UT Arlington shot a season-high 50.7 percent from the field en route to an 82-57 non-conference win over New Orleans Wednesday. With the win, the Mavericks improve to 6-19 on the season.
UTA shot 30 percent from three-point range and 90 percent from the free throw line in the victory. The Mavericks also out-rebounded New Orleans 42-35.
Desherra Nwanguma led UTA with 15 points, while Jordan Holub added 14 and Malaika Green had 11.
Houston Baptist 78, Texas State 76 (OT)
Texas State fell 78-76 in overtime at Houston Baptist Wednesday. With the loss, the Bobcats drop to 9-16 on the season.
Texas State shot 40 percent from the field, 46 percent from three-point range and 56 percent from the free throw line on the game. The Huskies out-rebounded the Bobcats 47-40.
Diamond Ford led Texas State with 22 points, while Ayriel Anderson added 18 and Ashley Ezeh had 14. Erin Peoples grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds.
