New Mexico State 76, Idaho 74


LAS CRUCES, N.M.-(NMSU Media Relations) New Mexico State sophomore guard Daniel Mullings sank two free throws with 14 seconds left in regulation to beat Idaho, 76-74. The Aggies won their 10th consecutive game (16-8, 10-2 WAC).

Mullings scored seven points and had four assists in 40 minutes of action. Freshman center Sim Bhullar led the Aggies in scoring with 20 points on an 8-of-8 performance from the field. Sophomore guard Terrel de Rouen had a career-high 12 points and a steal in the final 16 seconds of the game that set up the Mullings free throws. Junior forward Renaldo Dixon was also in double-digits with 12 points, which tied a season-high mark, and senior forward Bandja Sy recorded a career-high 15 rebounds and scored nine points.

Louisiana Tech 74, UTSA 49



RUSTON, La. --(AP) Cordarius Johnson and Chris Anderson scored 11 points apiece as Louisiana Tech routed Texas-San Antonio 74-49 Thursday night for its 12th straight win and 20th victory of the season.

In the game between the teams ranked first and last in the Western Athletic Conference, the Bulldogs (20-3, 11-0) never trailed and led 14-2 after 7 minutes.

Louisiana Tech, which edged the Roadrunners 73-71 in their first game Jan. 12, led by 28 in the second half en route to continuing the fourth longest active winning streak in the nation.

Denver 72, Seattle U 55


DENVER -(DU Media Relations)  The University of Denver men's basketball team shattered a team record with 22 steals, including a DU Division-I record eight by senior guard Chase Hallam (Mesquite, Texas), as the Pioneers cruised to a 72-55 victory over Seattle at Magness Arena on Thursday night.

Junior forward Chris Udofia (Irving, Texas) led the Pioneers (14-8, 10-2 WAC) with 23 points on 10-for-14 shooting and hit a career best three three-pointers. Freshman Jalen Love (Wichita, Kan.) chipped in with 11 points, and Hallam added 10 points in 27 minutes of action. Sophomore guard Cam Griffin (San Antonio, Texas) came off the bench with nine points, five assists and four steals.

UT Arlington 75, Texas State 50


ARLINGTON, Texas –(UTA Media Relations) Kevin Butler scored a season-high 21 and UT Arlington picked up a much-needed home victory Thursday night, running past rival Texas State 75-50 before 2,053 fans at College Park Center.

The Mavericks improved to 11-9 overall and 6-5 in the Western Athletic Conference by snapping a five-game home losing skid. The Bobcats dropped to 7-17 and 3-9. UT Arlington swept the season series Texas State, also winning 91-74 last month in San Marcos.

"It's so nice to finally come in here after a victory," UT Arlington coach Scott Cross said. "The guys played so hard. I was really proud of them. I told them before the game to focus on playing great defense and rebounding. Obviously they listened to me very well because we did a great job defensively."
