New Mexico State 7, Texas Tech 6 LAS CRUCES, N.M. – (NMSU Media Relations) The New Mexico State baseball team used seven pitchers to defeat the Texas Tech 7-6 as junior Gory Goldstrom hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth to bring in senior Kyle Phillips, Monday, March 25.
After junior right-hander Christopher Bradley sat down three of the four batters he faced in the top of the ninth, and Phillips led-off the bottom of the inning by being hit by a pitch. Phillips advanced over to second base when junior Taylor Noyer tallied a sac-bunt before scoring the winning run.

Ryan Somers (Sammamish, Wash.) drew a one-out walk, and after a strikeout, Grant Newton (Bend, Ore.) drew a walk to load the bases with two outs.
