The University of Denver men's tennis team fell to No. 40 Nebraska, 4-1 ... the Pioneers fell behind 1-0 early, falling in two of three doubles matches ... Max Krammer defeated Nebraska's Dusty Boyer 6-2, 6-0 to pick up the Pioneers only point of the day ... Max Krammer (Perchtoldsdorf, Austria) defeated Nebraska's Dusty Boyer 6-2, 6-0 to pick up the Pioneers only point of the day ... the Pioneers next match is on Mar. 8 against Texas Tech ... the match will take place at Gates Tennis Center at 12 p.m. (MT).
IDAHO (11-0, 1-0)
The No. 63 Vandals improve to 11-0 on the season ... the Vandals picked up a 7-0 win over Montana in the early match before winning 5-0 over MSU in the afternoon. Idaho's next match will be its first against a ranked as the Vandals visit No. 40 Oregon.
NEW MEXICO STATE (6-3, 1-0)
New Mexico State went 2-0 last weekend, hosting Northern Arizona and WAC opponent UT Arlington ... the New Mexico state men's tennis team earned a 6-1 win over the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks on Friday ... the Aggies won their first conference match 4-2, over UT Arlington on Sunday ... Luis Ramirez finished the weekend undefeated with a win at the top doubles court with the help of teammate Marc Westgate ... Ramirez came back for a win in matching 6-2 sets at the No. 1 singles position to get things started for the Aggies.
SEATTLE U (0-9, 0-0)
Freshman Will Top and Zack Kosanke lead the team with four singles wins apiece ... Kosanke also as the best record on the squad, going 4-4 at No. 3 singles ... Kevin Lynch and Jason Bediones have the best doubles record as a pair in the dual season ... together they've gone 3-4 at No. 2 doubles ... the Redhawks now have a month break before their next match, a conference showdown against Idaho in Seattle ... Idaho and Seattle U will renew acquaintances Saturday, Mar. 10 ... the two squads have faced each other five times since 2009, and Idaho has won all five times.
UT ARLINGTON (3-4, 0-1)
The Mavericks posted a 2-1 record on their weekend swing in Las Cruces, N.M. ... in their opening match the Mavs shutout Western New Mexico, 4-0 ... UTA faltered in their first WAC match of the year, dropping to New Mexico State, 4-3 ... closing out the weekend UTA defeated Northern Arizona 4-3 in a close battle ... t he Mavericks fell behind early after losing the doubles point at the No. 1 and No. 3 positions to head into singles down 1-0 ... next up for the Mavs is a three match weekend in Sacramento against Sacramento State, UC Davis and Pacific.
UTSA (6-5, 0-0)
UTSA continued its current seven-match road trip last week by competing at the 47th Annual H-E-B Tournament of Champions in Corpus Christi, Texas ... the Roadrunners opened the tournament with a 4-3 win over South Alabama, but lost back-to-back matches in the semifinals and third-place match to No. 34 Middle Tennessee and Louisiana-Lafayette, respectively.
UTAH STATE (4-7, 0-1)
Utah State men's tennis defeated Montana State-Billings, 5-0 ... Utah State won all three doubles matches securing the point and won all four of the singles matches that were played ... Due to inclement weather, the teams agreed not to play the final two singles matches ... Sven Poslusny defeated Navin Marimuthu in straight sets (6-2, 6-3) ... earlier in the week, Utah State men's tennis was defeated by Montana State, 4-3, Friday in Bozeman, Mont. ... Utah State returns to action on Saturday, Mar. 23 when it hosts Lamar at the Sports Academy and Racquet Club.
