Staci Rodriguez hit a pair of homers and drove in five runs as the Aggies defeated UTSA 8-0 in five innings in the first game of the series Friday. Alex Newman earned the five-inning shutout, improving to 16-8 on the season.
San Jose State 12, Louisiana Tech 0 (6)
The Spartans used a seven-run sixth inning to run-rule the Lady Techsters 12-0 in the series opener Friday. Three different San Jose State players had multi-hit games, while Vanessa House drove in three runs. Amanda Pridmore earned the win, striking out five. She also became SJSU's all-time strikeout leader during the game, moving her career total to 646.
Texas State 5, UT Arlington 0
Texas State shut out UT Arlington 5-0 in the first half of a doubleheader Friday. Kelli Baker led the Bobcats at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI. Rayn House earned the complete-game shutout, striking out seven.
Texas State 2, UT Arlington 0
The Bobcats swept the doubleheader, defeating UTA 2-0 in the nightcap. Jordan Masek was 3-for-4 and drove in a run. Ashley Wright earned the win, while House was credited with the save.
Seattle U 3, Utah State 1
Seattle U plated a run in the bottom of the first and led the rest of the way en route to a 3-1 win over Utah State in the first half of a twinbill Friday. Isabella Geronimo was 2-for-3 with one run scored and one RBI. Mandie Sugita picked up the complete-game win, improving to 5-9 on the year.

In the nightcap, Geronimo hit a two-RBI single in the bottom of the seventh to give the Redhawks a 2-1 victory. Richelle Ashburn earned the complete-game win in the circle, scattering four hits and striking out five.
