Dallas Baptist 9, Seattle U 4

DALLAS- (DBU Media Relations) Dallas Baptist (20-16, 7-5) won its third WAC series this weekend as the Patriots  got a late offensive surge to hold off the Seattle Redhawks (12-22, 3-8) on Saturday at Horner Ballpark, 9-4. The Patriots held an early 4-1 advantage in the contest only to see the Redhawks claw their way back and tie the game at four in the top of the eighth inning. The bottom of the eighth was the decisive inning in the game, though, as DBU managed five runs in the frame, highlighted by a Chane Lynch two-run homerun with nobody out. Lynch finished the game with three hits and Boomer Collins, batting leadoff for the first time all season, collected four – including a double and a leadoff home run in the first.
