Four WAC Softball Players Named All-Region

Four WAC Softball Players Named All-Region
STARKVILLE, Miss. - Four WAC softball players have been named to the Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division I All-Region teams announced today. A total of 263 players representing 137 different institutions comprise this season’s regional teams, including first and second teams for each region.

New Mexico State led the way with two players named to the Pacific Region teams. Outfielder Staci Rodriguez was named to first team, while outfielder Amber Olive was a second team honoree.

San Jose State pitcher Amanda Pridmore was also named second team All-Pacific Region, while Louisiana Tech utility player Erin Kipp was named to the All-Central Region second team.

The all-region teams were chosen by NFCA member coaches from each region, and all the honorees are now eligible for selection to the Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-America first, second or third teams. The NFCA Division I All-American teams will be announced on Wednesday, May 29.
