Texas A&M 6, UTSA 1
No. 2 seed Texas A&M ended fourth-seeded UTSA's postseason run and 2013 season with a 6-1 victory in front of 2,518 fans at Goss Stadium on Saturday at the NCAA Tournament Corvallis Regional. After the Aggies (33-28) scored a pair of runs in the opening inning, the Roadrunners (35-25) drew to within a run in the third, but that was as close as they got the rest of the way. Texas A&M put the contest out of reach with a three-run fifth and it added an insurance tally one frame later.

Oregon State 5, UTSA 4
Dylan Davis’ two-run double in the bottom of the ninth helped lift No. 3 national seed Oregon State to a 5-4 victory against fourth-seeded UTSA in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament Corvallis Regional on Friday night before 3,222 fans at Goss Stadium. The Roadrunners (35-24) held a 4-3 lead entering the final frame, but a leadoff walk to Tyler Smith helped jump start the Beavers’ (46-10) rally. Andy Peterson advanced Smith to second with a sacrifice bunt and, after Michael Conforto was hit by a pitch, Davis lined the first pitch he saw from UTSA reliever Matt Sims into the gap in right center to plate the tying and winning runs.
