IUPUI 2, Grand Canyon 0

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - (GCU Media Relations) The Grand Canyon University women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision today against Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) at Michael A. Carroll Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind. The Antelopes fell to 0-3 on the season, while the Jaguars are now 2-1-1.

GCU outshot IUPUI (14-7) for the contest, although the Jaguars held the narrow advantage in shots on goal (5-4).

Jessica Fitzgerald attempted three shots for the 'Lopes, while Jessica Lincoln placed both of her shots on goal. Chelsea Santos, Taylor Layton, and Samantha Bush each added two shots for GCU.

Portland State 7, New Mexico State 0

LAS VEGAS - (NMSU Media Relations) Mexico State soccer team ended the UNLV Nike Invitational with a split 1-1 record after falling to Portland State, 7-0. The Aggies slipped to 2-2-0 overall on the season.

The Aggie offense fired eight shots with five shots on goal, which are both second-best marks of the season, but couldn’t find the back of the net.

Sacramento State 3, Bakersfield 1

BAKERSFIELD, Calif.- (CSUB Media Relations) Sacramento State defeated Bakersfield 3-1 in women's soccer action Sunday afternoon.

The Hornets took a 1-0 lead into halftime when Kassidy Kellogg scored in the 19th minute. Alyssa Anderson scored in the 54th and 72nd minutes for Sacramento State. Emily Noethe (Jr., Dallas, Ga., East Paulding HS) tallied the lone 'Runner goal in the 77th minute. Taylor Wheeler (So., Fullerton, Calif., La Habra HS) was the credited with the assist.

Missouri 3, Kansas City 0

KANSAS CITY - (UMKC Media Relations) UMKC controlled the pace early, but faltered down the stretch, as the visiting Missouri Tigers scored two late goals to clinch a 3-0 victory at Durwood Stadium on Sunday.

The Tigers got on the board early when Taylor Grant found Melanie Donaldson for a goal in only the second minute of the contest. But the 'Roos settled in from that point, controlling possession and enforcing their will on the offensive end to some degree.
