Grand Canyon 3, Louisiana Monroe 0
The Antelopes swept past Louisiana Monroe (25-20, 25-22, 25-7) at GCU Arena Thursday night. With the win, its fourth straight, Grand Canyon improves to 6-5 on the season.
The Antelopes out-hit the Warhawks .243 to .027 and had 39 kills to ULM's 23. Grand Canyon also had seven service aces on the night.
Lanie Muys paced Grand Canyon with 11 kills on .625 hitting. Jessica Posse dished out 21 assists, while Mackenzie Phelps had 17 digs and Megan Davis added 15.
Utah 3, New Mexico State 2
The Aggies fell in five sets (25-13, 10-25, 25-20, 23-25, 4-15) to Utah at the Pan American Center Thursday night. With the loss, New Mexico State drops to 3-7 on the season.
The Utes out-hit NM State .278 to .201 and out-blocked the Aggies 13.5-6. Utah also had eight service aces to NM State's three.
Lauren Loerch led the Aggies with 13 kills, while Bradley Nash posted a double-double of 10 kills and 16 digs.
Washington State 3, Idaho 0
The Vandals were swept (22-25, 20-25, 17-25) by host Washington State in the first match of the Cougar Invitational Thursday. With the loss, Idaho drops to 6-5 on the seoson.
The Vandals hit .175 on the match, compared to the .270 of the Cougars. WSU also posted six service aces, while Idaho had none.
Jessica Hastriter paced the Vandals with 13 kills, while Meredith Coba dished out 28 assists in the loss.
