HBU ran its winning streak to three matches with a 3-2 overtime win over Army Sunday afternoon from Clinton Field.
The goals scored by HBU this afternoon were the first allowed by the Black Knights all season. Entering this afternoon's contest, Army goalkeeper, Winston Boldt, was one of just three keepers in NCAA Division I to not allow a goal so far this season.

“We’ve gone into overtime four times now in eight games, so it’s good to get a win,” said head coach Pete Fewing. “I’m really happy for the guys. I’m happy for Jake Feener, because he’s still playing great in goal. Justice Duerksen started the game and did very well and I was really proud of him getting his first collegiate goal. Brady Ballew had a nice finish, so it was great. We kept coming back and it’s nice to put one in the win column, especially at home.”

Read Full ArticleZach Kovacevic and Grant Bell each notched a second-half goal Sunday to lead the Bradley University men’s soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Air Force at Cadet Soccer Stadium. The Braves improved to 4-2-1 while Air Force fell to 0-7.
Kovacevic scored just 28 seconds into the second half to give the Braves a 1-0 lead. He took a pass from Cody Lofgren and headed a shot from 10 yards that eluded Air Force goalie Jake Schenk for his second tally of the season. Bell added an insurance goal in the 64th minute after taking a pass from Wojciech Wojcik at the top of the box and placing a 15-yard shot that clanged off the right post and into the net.

Read Full ArticleFor the second time in three days, the UNLV men's soccer team took on an undefeated opponent on the road and came up short by a 2-1 score, and this time it was at UC Riverside on Sunday night from the UC Riverside Soccer Stadium. The Rebels fell to 2-5 with the setback, while UCR moved to 5-0-2 on the season.
The Highlanders scored an early goal, coming in the third minute for a 1-0 lead. Aaron Long scored the goal for UCR when he one-timed in a shot off a free kick from Eric Gonzalez. The lead increased to two off another set piece, this time following a corner kick by Hector Romo. Hayden Leslie would head the ball into the net, making it a 2-0 lead in the 16th minute.
