The Kangaroos swept past the Cougars (25-22, 25-19. 25-20) at the Dickens Center Sunday afternoon. With the win, Kansas City improves to 8-6 overall and 2-0 in the WAC. Chicago State falls to 2-14 on the season and 0-2 in WAC play.
The 'Roos out-hit the Cougars .294 to .148 and out-blocked Chicago State 14-2. The Cougars held the edge in kills (40-38), assists (37-35) and digs (46-40).
Sydney Crimmins led Kansas City with 12 kills and five blocks, while Emma Hagedorn added 10 kills and nine blocks.
Madeleine Radtke and Paula Sioto had 12 kills each to pace the Cougars.
