The Roadrunners dropped a close five-set match at Radford Wednesday (25-21, 23-25, 21-25, 25-19, 11-15). With the loss, Bakersfield evens its record at 2-2 on the season.
The Roadrunners had more kills (66-52), assists (61-49) and digs (60-47) than the Highlanders, but Bakersfield was out-hit .225 to .196 and out-blocked 16-5.
Debora Araujo led the Roadrunners with a double-double of 16 kills and 13 digs. Molly O'Hagan tallied 15 kills, while Kelsee Sawyer added 11.
