KANSAS CITY – (UMKC Media Relations) With its 10th straight victory on Thursday night at the Swinney Recreation Center, the Missouri-Kansas City volleyball team (14-3, 3-0) set a new school record in what has a chance to be the best season in school history.

In the 3-1 WAC victory over Utah Valley (7-11, 2-2), the first-place ‘Roos were led by Sydney Crimmins, who finished with 17 kills on .400 hitting, while Emma Hagedorn hit .500 with 13 kills. As a team, UMKC notched a .225 hitting clip.

Lauren Bakker led Utah Valley with 19 kills on .429 hitting. Macky Treanor added 15 kills, while Kalani Norris added 12. Sierra Starley added a double-double of 37 assists and 10 digs. McKenna Tait posted a match-high 28 digs.

New Mexico State 3, Texas-Pan American 0 (25-20, 25-16, 25-23)

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – (NMSU Media Relations) The New Mexico State volleyball team made it 11-consecutive WAC wins inside the Pan American Center after defeating Texas-Pan American in straight sets on Thursday night, 25-21, 25-16, 25-23.

The Aggies earn their 10th win of the season (10-6) and improve to 4-1 in WAC play while the Broncs fall to 4-15 and 1-4 in the conference.

Gwen Murphy marked a team-high 10 kills on 14 attempts for a .571 hitting percentage, the highest hitting percentage this season for any Aggie. Nathalie Castellanos and Andrea Tauai were right behind Murphy with nine and eight kills, respectively.

Setters Taylor Livoti and Ashlyn Brown each finished with 18 assists, while Bradley Nash and Ariadnne Sierra, making her first start for the Aggies, both finished with a match-high 10 digs.

Haley Durham led the Broncs with 11 kills on .500 hitting. Anjané Janda finished with 10 kills on .389 hitting.

Seattle U 3, Chicago State 0 1 (26-24, 25-14, 18-25, 25-17)

CHICAGO – (SU Media Relations) Behind a dominating offensive performance from sophomore Iris Ivanis, as well as timely defense throughout the night, Seattle University defeated Chicago State, 3-1 (26-24, 25-14, 18-25, 25-17) Thursday night in a WAC volleyball match at the Jacoby Dickens Center.

Ivanis collected a season-high 20 kills, hitting .421 during the contest, plus she earned two service aces, six digs, and five total blocks. Martina Samadan finished with seven kills and a team-high seven total blocks, and setter Kerry Lane notched a double-double with 30 assists and 10 digs.

Elli Woinowsky led Chicago State with 15 kills, plus she earned six digs, with Selena Newell finishing with eight kills. Cougar setter Sarah Metcalfe collected 35 assists, and libero Julia Menhart led all players with 15 digs.
