Missouri-Kansas City 3, at New Mexico State 2 (17-25, 20-25, 25-17, 25-23, 15-13)

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – (UMKC Media Relations) The Missouri-Kansas City Volleyball team (17-3, 5-0) rallied from two sets down to knock-off defending WAC champ New Mexico State (7-11, 4-2), extend its win streak to 13 matches and maintain its first-place conference standing on Thursday night at the Pan American Center in Las Cruces, N.M.

Offensively, Jessica Hendin (14), Sydney Crimmins (12), Skyler Muff (11) and Melissa Hartsel (10) all reached double-figure kills, with Hartsel hitting .444 and Muff hitting .429.  Crimmins and Hendin, meanwhile, registered 13 and 12 digs, respectively to notch double-doubles.

Bradley Nash led the Aggies with 15 kills on .375 hitting, while Gwen Murphy and Nathalie Castellanos added 10 kills each.

Utah Valley 3, Grand Canyon 1 (25-23, 20-25, 25-21, 25-22)

OREM, Utah – Utah Valley University managed to finish off Grand Canyon in four sets on Thursday night as it overcame a large fourth-set deficit to win the match 25-23, 20-25, 25-21, 25-22. Sophomore Macky Treanor and junior Lauren Bakker led the Wolverines with 15 and 14 respective kills.
 
With the victory, the Wolverines improved to 9-12 on the season and 4-2 in Western Athletic Conference play while the Antelopes dropped to 12-8 overall and 2-5 in league play with the loss.

Natalie Tardy paced the Lopes with a match-high 17 kills.

Bakersfield 3, Seattle U (25-19, 25-23, 25-13)

SEATTLE – (CSUB Media Relations) Danika Youngblood, Molly O'Hagan and Kelsee Sawyer combined for 36 of the 41 Bakersfield kills as the Roadrunners defeated Seattle U 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-13) Thursday night in WAC volleyball action. Bakersfield improves to 8-11, 4-2 in the WAC and Seattle U drops to 7-12, 3-3 WAC.

Youngblood led all players with 14 kills. O’Hagan and Sawyer each charted 11 kills. Luiza Martins had 30 assists.

Jelena Vujcin paced Seattle U with 10 kills, while Stephanie Stoll recorded seven individual blocks.

Texas-Pan American 3, Chicago State 1 (25-20, 25-19, 23-25, 25-18)

EDINBURG, Texas – (UTPA Media Relations) The University of Texas-Pan American Broncs volleyball beat the Chicago State University Cougars 3-1 (25-20, 25-19, 23-25, 25-18) on Thursday at the UTPA Fieldhouse.
 
Redshirt senior Maria Kliefoth led the Broncs (5-15, 2-4 WAC) with 13 kills on .478 hitting on four blocks. Junior Haley Durham finished with 12 kills on .308 hitting and five blocks. Sophomore Alisha Watson had 12 kills. Freshman Mary Kate Clark dished out 38 assists. Three Broncs reached double-figures in digs, as seniors Krysta Freitas and Nausheen Merchant had 11 each while redshirt junior Macey Singleton posted 10.
 
Milica Zmiric led the Cougars (6-14, 0-6 WAC) with 10 kills. Sarah Metcalfe had 31 assists. Julia Menhart posted 25 digs. Essence Jackson-Jones finished with six blocks.
