The San Jose State men’s soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to three games on Friday afternoon in defeating the Houston Baptist Huskies 3-1 in a Western Athletic Conference match on Spartan Soccer Field.

The Spartans (4-7-1, 2-1-1 WAC) out shot Houston Baptist 17-8, led by four shots from sophomore Uriel Ayala. Freshmen Ruben Want, Greg Harte and Carlos Valdovinos each attempted two.


Grand Canyon 3, Missouri-Kansas City 2

The Grand Canyon University men's soccer team (3-8-1, 1-3-0 WAC) used three first-half goals to pick up a 3-2 victory over visiting University of Missouri – Kansas City (2-8-2, 0-3-1) tonight in a Western Athletic Conference matchup on GCU Soccer Field in Phoenix. With the win, the Antelopes avenged two conference losses to the Kangaroos from a season ago.

It was the eighth game this season decided by one goal or less for GCU.


UNLV 2, Air Force 0

Air Force men's soccer dropped a 2-0 match at UNLV Friday night at Peter Johann Memorial Stadium.

UNLV (10-2-1, 4-0 WAC) scored goals in the 51st and 62nd minutes to remain unbeaten in Western Athletic Conference play. Danny Musovski scored the first goal and Rodrigo Fuentes the second.


Incarnate Word 2, Bakersfield 1 (OT)

Andrew Grossman scored 3:02 into overtime to give Incarnate Word a 2-1 victory over Bakersfield in Western Athletic Conference men’s soccer action Friday night.

The teams played a scoreless first half as the Roadrunners outshot the Cardinals 6-3. UIW (4-6, 3-0 WAC) took the lead 4:45 into the second when Ben Conway scored off a pair of touch passes from Dylan Kelly and Alex De La Garza.
