CHICAGO – After winning the first set, the Chicago State volleyball team dropped the next three to fall in four sets to Green Bay in non-conference action at the Dickens Center Tuesday. With the loss, the Cougars fall to 6-18 on the season.
Chicago State hit .169 on the match, compared to the .203 of the Phoenix. The Cougars had more kills (51-49) and assists (50-44), but were out-dug (78-75) and had 11 service errors in the loss.
Elli Woinowsky led all players with 14 kills to go along with 14 digs for her seventh double-double of the season, while Chinwendu Ngwadom and Milica Zmiric added 10 kills apiece. Ngwadom also had a season-high seven blocks. Sarah Metcalfe had a season-high 41 assists, while Julia Menhart had a season-high 28 digs.
