DENVER — Northern Colorado’s Carleigh Barrett and Savanna Meadows have been named the Western Athletic Conference Women’s Swimmer and Diver of the Week, respectively, for November 11-17.
Barrett, a sophomore from Oshawa, Ontario (R.S. McLaughlin) continued her successful season picking up victories in the 200 freestyle (1:58.23) and the 200 butterfly (2:08.85). Barrett also helped the Bears win the 400 yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:37.99 against Colorado Mesa and Colorado School of Mines.
Meadows, a sophomore from Burnet, Texas (Burnet HS) took home first place in both the 1-meter and 3-meter in Colorado this weekend. In the 1-meter Meadows scored a 274.88 and a 249.30 in the 3-meter competition.
