KANSAS CITY, Mo. - (UMKC Media Relations) The 'Roos led from start to finish against Missouri S&T in a turnover-happy men's basketball contest on Wednesday night, and shot 53 percent on the way to a 90-77 victory in front of a sold out on-campus crowd.
UMKC (2-1) lit it up from the start on the offensive end, sparked by Martez Harrison, who did it by passing and scoring. He tallied up a career-high 11 assists, the most for a Kangaroo since Marc Stricker set the school record of 13 on Dec. 16, 1999. Harrison also scored 13 points, the 21st consecutive double-figure night.
Broderick Newbill paced the UMKC attack with 14 points, while Frank Williams and Shayol Shayok each put up 13 with Harrison. The double-double for Harrison was the second of his career and first involving points and assists..

LAS CRUCES, N.M. - (NM State Media Relations)
Daniel Mullings placed his name into the New Mexico State history books Wednesday night as he led the Aggies to a home-opening 86-65 walloping of Northern Colorado at the Pan American Center.
Mullings poured in 20 points and once again led the team with eight rebounds and six assists as he ran his career total to 1,457 points to pass the late Aggie Legend Sam Lacey's 1,448 points as 10th on the NM State career scoring list.
Mullings also snagged three steals to tie William Benjamin in second on the Aggies career steals chart with 209.

SEATTLE - (SU Media Relations) The Seattle University men's basketball team played together throughout Wednesday night's contest, as several players made significant contributions in the Redhawks' 98-74 victory over the Omaha Mavericks in a non-conference contest at KeyArena.
Isiah Umipig led the Redhawks with 24 points, plus he pulled down five rebounds and dished out six assists while shooting 7-of-15 from the field, including 6-of-9 from behind the three-point line, and 4-of-4 from the free throw line. Jarell Flora scored 20 of his 22 points in the first half, plus he grabbed eight rebounds. Jack Crook notched a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds, and William Powell nearly did the same, finishing with nine points and 11 rebounds.
