LOGAN, Utah - (UVU Media Relations) Utah Valley University women's basketball dropped its first road contest and first in-state game of the season on Thursday at Utah State 79-61. The Wolverines return home for another game against another Utah school when Weber State comes to the UCCU Center on Saturday for a 4 p.m. tip-off.

Rhaiah Spooner-Knight had another strong outing with a season high 21 points to lead all scorers, but the Wolverines couldn't overcome 25 turnovers while the Aggies turned it over just eight times.

Sacramento State 93, New Mexico State 85

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Combining for 109 second half points, New Mexico State and Sacramento State put on an offensive show but it was the Hornets who earned the win at home, knocking off NMSU, 93-85.

Shanice Davis led all scorers with 23 points on six-of-10 shooting from the field and a perfect eight-for-eight from the charity stripe.

EDINBURG, Texas - (UTPA Media Relations) One night after beating Texas A&M-Kingsville by 50 points, the University of Texas-Pan American Broncs women’s basketball team beat the Concordia University Tornados by 41 points, 72-31, on Thursday at the UTPA Fieldhouse.

Sophomore Shawnte’ Goff led the Broncs (3-2) with 14 points, three rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two steals. Junior Rickell Preston notched her first-career double-double with 10 points and a career-high 10 rebounds.

CHICAGO - Paris Williams scored 18 points and Konner Harris added 11 but it wasn't enough as Western Illinois came into the Windy City and earned a 90-55 win over Chicago State on Thursday night.
