CARBONDALE, Ill. – The Cougars dropped their seventh-straight game, falling 65-50 at Southern Illinois Sunday afternoon. With the loss, Chicago State falls to 2-9 on the season.
The Cougars shot 30 percent from the field, 29 percent from three-point range and 83 percent from the free throw line on the game. The Salukis connected on 42 percent from the floor, 33 percent from downtown and 72 percent from the charity stripe. SIU out-rebounded Chicago State 35-30.
Trayvon Palmer and Sean Hill led the Cougars with 10 points each, with Hill nabbing three steals. Johnny Griffin grabbed a team-high seven boards, while Joshua Meier had two blocks.
