PEORIA, Ill. - A strong second half propelled the Chicago State Cougars to their second win of the season, knocking off the Bradley Braves, 62-59, on Thursday afternoon in Peoria, Ill.

Paris Williams lead CSU with 16 points on the day. Konner Harris added 13 point and Layne Murph chalked up 12 points in the win.

Texas-Pan American 65, Incarnate Word 61

EDINBURG, Texas - (UTPA Media Relations) Three Broncs reached double-figures in scoring as the University of Texas-Pan American women's basketball team beat the University of the Incarnate Word Cardinals 65-61 on Thursday at the UTPA Fieldhouse.

The win is head coach Larry Tidwell's 21st as a Bronc, moving him into sole possession of fourth place in program history. The late John McDowell, who is known to have won 36 games from 1982-86, is next on the list.

Sophomore Shawnte' Goff led the Broncs (7-6) with 21 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the field to go with 6-of-8 shooting from the line. Senior Brittany Bush scored a season-high 16 points on 7-of-12 shooting to go with seven rebounds (three offensive), three blocks and two steals. Senior T'Ondria Nolen scored 10 points with five assists.

#10 Louisville 65, Grand Canyon 51

PHOENIX - (GCU Media Relations) Grand Canyon's youthful women's basketball team gave No. 10 Louisville all it wanted before falling 65-51 at GCU Arena Thursday.

The Antelopes (3-7), who have no seniors and nine freshmen, outscored the Cardinals (10-1) 16-6 in the game's final 6:55.

Sophomore August Touchard led GCU with 13 points. Sophomore center Tori Morris had eight points, tying a career-best, and eight rebounds. Frosh Jessica Gajewski and junior Cheyenne Hedrington each had eight points.
